Lauren Thompson-Swarts
Owner & Certified
Wedding Consultant
Lauren got caught up in the wonderful world of weddings after her own nuptials on the Fox Network's national television special "Surprise Wedding." Her background in broadcast journalism, advertising, and sales helped pave the way for what was to become her true passion in life: Weddings! She then went on to get her Wedding & Event Planning Certification through WCII, and started The Master Plan with ideas of stylish, chic, and one-of-a-kind dream events.
She is infatuated with everything about weddings: the love, the romance, the dynamic majesty and distinction, the fun, the laughs, the tears, (the cake), and how all of the details come together to make such a memorable event that everyone involved will never forget. Weddings become a piece of you. This is why she firmly believes that you should enjoy and feel comfortable being around your Consultant. After all, the amount of time that goes into your big day means long hours, and tedious conversations with this person, that all ends in the event of your life. She loves working with Brides, Grooms, and family members, and feels truly honored that they let her be a part of this special time.
Lauren has appeared on Entertainment Tonight, and has been featured in US Weekly, The Houston Chronicle, The Houston Press, and H-Texas Magazine. A member of many wedding and women's organizations, she spends her most of her free time attending networking events that keep her in-the-loop of the hot new trends and tips in today's weddings. She also enjoys hanging out with her friends and family, and her pugs Baxter & Rico.

Lacy Spiker Pool
Associate Consultant
A native of Houston and Austin, Lacy knows Texas weddings like the back of her hand. She got her start in weddings while planning her own, and hasn't looked back from there. Lacy's experience in marketing, public relations, and sales give her a platform for what it takes to be a skillful, tactful, and quick-on-your-feet wedding planner.
As a consultant with Priscilla of Boston, Lacy helped hundreds of Brides make their dreams come true. And as The Master Plan's
day-of wedding specialist, she is continuing in that tradition.
Lacy and her husband Keith have been married since 2000, and welcomed their first child, Ryder, in January 2005.
Sarah Greene Gabbart
Wedding Assistant
Sarah Greene Gabbart is a native Houstonian and graduated from the University of St. Thomas in 2005 with a degree in Communication. While at UST, she worked as a Public Relations assistant at the Houston Museum of Natural Science and was able to hone her event planning skills helping put together media preview parties and press events. A love of helping people achieve the event of their dreams, whether it be to tout a new exhibit or celebrate a new life together, drew her to The Master Plan after they helped make her own nuptials a reality.
With only two months to plan her wedding, Sarah turned to Lauren and The Master Plan for guidance in putting together her perfect wedding in such a short time. She was married to Ryan Gabbart on September 3, 2005 and thanks to the intrepid wedding planner and her assistant Margaret, it went off without a hitch!

needed calling to help other Mothers, Stepmothers, &
Grandmothers of the bride & groom keep their sanity.
She is a specialist in wedding apparel, and is also a
master calligrapher. Her heart and soul goes into each
event, and her saavy mindset, neverending smile, and
contagious laugh are shared by all that meet her. She

her (very little) free time, she also enjoys shopping,
fine dining with friends, making jewelry, and spending
time with her dog Boudreaux.
Amanda Goldstein

Amanda was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. While obtaining her Bachelors Degree in Social Science at The Florida State University, she discovered she loved to organize detailed and memorable events as the philanthropy coordinator for her sorority benefiting Children’s Miracle Network and Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. After assisting with numerous corporate events for Aon Corporation, volunteering for numerous non-profit organizations such as the PGA and Children’s Miracle Network, and working in collegiate athletic marketing while she received her Master of Education in Sport Administration from the University of Houston, Amanda realized her true talent was for weddings and the events surrounding the big day.
